Vietnam Travel Photo Diary

Vietnam Travel Photo Diary

There is something spectacular and interesting about Vietnam. We spent over a month here visiting some beautiful places along the way, it was a privilege to be able to take photographs of this colourful, historical country. I fell completely in love with Vietnam, for it’s history, culture and uniqueness. I even went as far as writing a post describing a few reasons why I fell in love with Vietnam. Take a look, I’d love to know what others thought about it. For now here are some of the photography’s I took whilst travelling through Vietnam. Hoi An was one of our favourite towns in Vietnam. The architecture is sensational, with a mix of styles from wooden Chinese shophouses and temples to colourful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. You could spend days roaming the beautiful streets of Hoi An. Hoi An Hoi An – Japanese Covered Bridge Hoi An – Thu Bon River Hue – Imperial city The scenery in Vietnam is phenomenal, I’ve never seen anything like …

Laos Travel Photo Diary

After Chiang Mai we decided to leave Thailand and head for Laos on the slow boat. The slow boat is a three day journey, which isn’t as bad as it sounds. Travelling to Laos involved a bus journey to the border town Chiang Khong and stopping overnight. Accommodation was provided in the package we bought through our hostel in for the Slow Boat. The rooms were little wooden shacks with a fan and mosquito net. I had to get into Beth’s bed because mine was ripped. The next day we had another bus ride to the border. Our visa was stamped and paid for and then we were in Laos. Now for the two day Slow Boat to Laung Probang. When I first set eyes on the Slow Boat I thought: “Damn this is going to be a rough two days”, but it was actually a smooth trip. An awesome way to see the beautiful scenery. It was lovely passing the villages along the river. Locals got on and off, it was an interesting way to see a …

Melbourne Travel Photo Diary

Melbourne Travel Photo Diary

After an amazing trip to the beautiful city that is Sydney, our next stop was the stylish, dynamic Melbourne. I‘d already heard such great things about Melbourne, a lot of people even saying they preferred it to Sydney. This made me extremely excited. Here are some photos from my time in Melbourne. The vintage trams are one of my favourite things about Melbourne. They circle the city, you can hop on and hop off for absolute free, it’s called the City Circle Line. If you look closely you may see the driver putting up a peace sign at me. While they are a little slow it’s definite worth the wait. Melbourne has plenty of galleries and museums to get dug in to. We spent a whole day visiting various galleries. My favourite was the Australian Center Of Moving Image. I was really excited to see the iconic bathing boxes on Brighton beach. I even went as far as taking a photo in front of lots of the (I was debating all of them, but I don’t …

Sydney Travel Photo Diary

Sydney Travel Photo Diary

Following a wonderful trip in Sydney I’ve created a Sydney Travel Photo Diary. Hopefully you enjoy some of the snapshots I took along the way. You can also find a list of ‘5 Things We Did In Sydney‘ which gives you a run down of the things I got up to. Hopefully you find it useful. On our failed trip to see the Australian Open Of Surfing on Sydney’s Manly Beach we still came across some pretty cool stuff. I fell in love with these surf board art pieces, especially this one that reads: ‘OMG!! We forgot to save the planet!’. A ‘Sydney Travel Photo Diary’ isn’t complete without a picture of The Opera House. Please note, it’s not white, it’s an ‘off cream’ colour, it looks like it needs a good scrub. As you may have guessed I was rather disappointed by its complexion. Don’t worry it’s still beautiful the way it is. This is just a few moments before I told Beth she had to walk across the Harbour Bridge or I won’t …

Gold Coast To Cairns Travel Photo Diary

Gold Coast To Cairns

Last week I wrote about our trip from the Gold Coast to Cairns so I decided to put together a photo diary of just a few of the pictures from our adventure. We made our way to Noosa then Hervey Bay. Plus our trip to Fraser Island. We walked through the rainforest and swam in Lake Mackenzie. We then travelled to Agnes Water, where we watched sunsets and drove a motorbike around beautiful hills. Then we made our way to Airlie Beach to snorkel and visit the Witsunday Islands. We stopped in Townsville and visited the The Billabong Sanctuary, petted Kangaroos and fed Turtles. Then we travelled to our last stop Cairns to snorkel with the fish and visit the Great Barrier Reef.
